The Rockstar Design Process

🥇 Congratulations on helping lead your Class of ’25 Yearbook!

📞  Please call Rockstar on 1300 782 901 for assistance!

Stage 1 – Draft a Table of Contents

Plan-out order of pages

  1. List all content that is to appear within the yearbook
  2. Assign a page number for each feature
  3. Share responsibility for collecting content

As the project matures, it is quite normal for your table of contents to evolve. Keep updating as you go!

Tip: Use the Google Sheet shared by Rockstar

Stage 2 – Collect Content

Collect → Organise in Google Drive / OneDrive

Establish a master yearbook folder for the content you’ll receive through email and the cloud.

  1. Review content received for correct spelling, grammar, and appropriateness.
  2. Organise content inside the master yearbook folder. Name content sub-folders by their page number, listed on the Table of Contents.
  3. Share access to the master yearbook folder with Rockstar’s accounts: Google Drive:  [email protected] OneDrive:  [email protected]

Tip: Set an early content submission deadline 📆, and share this frequently with everyone.

Collecting Student Profiles 👤

Decide the questions students should answer.

To manage response collection, either your yearbook committee or Rockstar can manage:

🔘 Your Yearbook Committee manages collection

Create a ✅ Google Form asking all profile questions. When all responses are collected and edited, share the sheet with [email protected]

🔘 Rockstar manages collection

E-mail your list of profile questions to Rockstar. Rockstar will create the form your committee can share with students.

❌ Please do not utilise Microsoft Word to collect profile responses. This will introduce significant delays to the process.

Stage 3 – Formalise Content

Final check – “it’s ready to design!”

Grant permission for Rockstar’s Design team to begin the design of your yearbook.

The design process takes time, and Rockstar will begin after assurance is shared about completeness and accuracy.

Stage 4 – Select a Design

Express your Class of ’25 Personality

Decide which design theme helps express the style of your grade! Browse Rockstar’s S25 design library.

Stage 5 – Review Drafts

Review the Drafts 👀

When reviewing, please ensure all feedback is consolidated together from all committee members including teachers and school Principal.

Mark-up changes required in Adobe Acrobat
  1. Download the PDF, and open in Adobe Acrobat. View pages as spreads.
  2. Mark-up all changes required by using the Comment tools in Acrobat – Text and Sticky notes. Learn more about Comments tools which will significantly save you time.
  3. Save the PDF marked up, and share via a Google Drive / OneDrive subfolder.
  4. Alternatively, compile one single consolidated list of changes in only one document – no multiple lists
Reviewing Student Profiles

Inclusiveness is critical, please ensure:

  1. All students are included
  2. All profile photos match each student name
  3. Student names are spelt correctly
  4. Students are presented in correct order

To keep your project on-track, please stick to review deadlines. More time may or may not be available – please check with Rockstar as soon as required.
