The blog about recruiting…
It’s now March, and we have the luxury of being able to breathe! Hip Hip hooray!
We’re currently looking for a Yearbook Consultant to join our ranks.
Lots of applications have already been received, but here’s a few observations and tips for would-be applicants.
Tip 1
We are “Rockstar Memoirs”, not “Rock Star Memories” or “RockStar Memoirs” or “Rock-star memoirs”…
I know this sounds very petty, but names and punctuation is important! Yes, it’s true, “Rockstar” isn’t actually a real word in the dictionary. Neither is “Michelle”, “Brendan”, or “Elizabeth”…. they’re all names!
We don’t go calling you “MicHELLE”, or “Bren-dan”, or “Eliz-a-beth”, so treat your potential employer with the same respect!
Tip 2
If you are going to call and leave a good impression – make it a good impression. Don’t call up and be all nervous – it just makes us all uncomfortable and nervous too!
Tip 3
At the job interview, please leave your religious beliefs at home!
OK, I now promise we will take a break from blogging about getting a job…
